ONETeam Sports Group has over 30 years of experience outfitting athletes and teams in high-quality equipment and apparel. With roots in both retail and team/institutional sales, two of their businesses shared one Magento site and they wanted to move to Shopify Plus. We migrated their retail business, Home Run Sports, and their B2B group, ONETeam Sports, to two different Shopify Plus sites and leveraged one core component library for both brands to share.

A Large Retail Product Catalog

With 30,000 SKUs, the Home Run Sports product data migration was significant. We even re-architected the catalog structure to improve the overall product discovery UX experience. Starting with a new mega navigation approach followed by nesting collections and sub-collections. During the migration process, Home Run Sports moved their physical retail stores to Shopify POS.

A Customized B2B Experience

For ONETeam Sports there were a number of customizations to optimize core user flow whereby the B2B shopping journey began online and the relevant data was passed onto the sales team to finalize the quote, order and transaction details.
